Corporation for National and Community Service Disability Outreach Grantees

Between 2005 and 2008, The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) awarded funding to projects designed to address the needs of people with disabilities and encourage their participation in service programs to an organization.

In 2001, CNCS awarded two-year grants totaling $3.6 million to organizations that work with people with disabilities. The grants were awarded to continue building collaborations to ensure the full inclusion of people with disabilities as service participants, part of an ongoing effort to include people with disabilities in national and community service.

2001-2003 grantees

The Corporation for National and Community Service provides opportunities for Americans of all ages and backgrounds to serve their communities and country through three programs: Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, and Learn and Serve America. Together with the USA Freedom Corps, the Corporation is working to build a culture of citizenship, service, and responsibility in America.

©The National Service Inclusion Project (NSIP) is a training and technical assistance provider on disability inclusion. NSIP partners with the Association on University Centers on Disability, National Council on Independent Living, Association on Higher Education and Disability and National Down Syndrome Congress to build connections between disability organizations and all CNCS grantees, including national directs, to increase the participation of people with disabilities in national service.
